After only one year in the far north, he was drawn back to his alpine homeland and he joined the EHC Linz for four years . After a one-year interlude at EC Red Bull Salzburg , with which he won the European Trophy in 2011 , he moved to the Vienna Capitals in the Austrian capital in 2012 , for which he played until 2015. He was retrained from striker to defender by Tommy Samuelsson . In July 2015, he returned to his hometown club.

After five years with the EC VSV, he did not receive a new contract with his home club in summer 2020.
