Martin Widerer
Martin Heinrich Widerer (* July 13, 1771 in Passau ; † April 2, 1837 there ), Martin Wiederer was a Bavarian lawyer and local politician.
Career
Martin Widerer was the son of a coppersmith in Passau-Ort. He began his legal career as an adjunct with the town clerk Hercules and after his death became a magistrate justice administrator . From 1806 to 1812 he was mayor of Passau . He then became a record clerk at the royal Bavarian district and city court in Passau.
Due to the French occupation from 1806 to 1809, a typhus epidemic and the great famine of 1816 and 1817, Passau suffered a lot at that time. As a result, Widerer set up a people's canteen in St. Johannis Hospital.
