Dominik Praßlsberger
Dominik Praßlsberger (born November 17, 1793 , † May 22, 1871 in Passau ) was a Bavarian local politician.
Career
Praßlsberger was born in 1793 as the son of the court usher Josef Praßlsberger and his wife Katharina Prinner in the Hofmark Aldersbach . From 1814 he studied philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. On September 6, 1831, he married the widow of the Passau high school professor Wilhelm Toprano Ludovika and had two sons with her: Albert (* 1832) and Gottfried (* 1835). From 1850 to 1867 he was the legally qualified mayor of Passau. During his term of office, the opening of the Wels – Passau railway line and the associated construction of the Passau main train station, as well as the introduction of the gas supply, the demolition of the fortifications and the expansion of the Inn quay and the Danube area were of particular importance.
On May 22nd, 1871, he died of "old age" in Passau and was buried there two days later.
