Joseph balance
Joseph Raimund Friedrich Unruh (born March 5, 1792 in Passau , † May 16, 1866 there ) was a Bavarian administrative officer and local politician.
Career
Joseph Unruh was the son of the town councilor and magistrate Franz Sales Unruh and the grandson of the painter Johann Georg Unruh . After passing the state examination, he came to the government of the Lower Danube District as a civil servant in 1816 and became secretary in 1818 and legal councilor in Passau in 1821.
Unruh was elected mayor from 1823 to 1845 . When the government of the Lower Danube District moved to Landshut in 1839 , the town became an insignificant provincial town during his tenure. After 23 years in office, he was retired in 1845 at his own request because of a deterioration in his physical constitution, in particular because of poor memory.
