Alfred Lobinger

Alfred Lobinger (born May 21, 1894 in Polling , Upper Bavaria , † June 5, 1979 in Passau ) was a German freight forwarder and local politician ( CSU ).

Career

After attending an elementary and business school, Lobinger completed an apprenticeship at a Munich forwarding company. He then worked as a commercial agent at the Passau branch of a forwarding company. This work was interrupted by participation in the First World War. Around 1922 Lobinger founded his own freight forwarding company in Passau.

In December 1945 Lobinger was a co-founder of the CSU in Passau and became chairman of the local association. The US military government brought him to the provisional city council in 1946, which elected him mayor on July 26, 1946 . Differences with the Americans led to his dismissal on August 7, 1946. He was a member of the city council until 1953.
