He then taught in Graz , Marburg an der Drau and at the State High School in Klagenfurt . Critics of his views primarily criticize his so-called Windisch theory . Supporters use Wutte as a source for the pro-Carinthian voting behavior and the “home loyalty” of the Windischen in the Carinthian referendum of 1920 or for the reverse conclusion on the voting behavior of the Carinthian Slovenes .

In 1942 Wutte joined the NSDAP . During the same period, Wutte revised and expanded his second edition, the most important publication Carinthian Freedom Struggle 1918–1920, in such a way that there is no doubt about his anti-Semitic resentment, his fundamentalist rejection of pacifism and ardent enthusiasm for Adolf Hitler's aggressive foreign policy .
