In the left midfield, Wassey played 31 games (7 goals) when winning the league championship in 2008 and also won the Westphalia Cup with his club with a 3-0 win against Fichte Bielefeld . A pubic bone inflammation and an inguinal operation caused the standard specialist to be out of action for several months in the 2008/09 season, who then only made twelve appearances in the Regionalliga West . He was also not used when he won the Westphalia Cup again.

At the end of the season Wassey left Preußen Münster and moved to the 2nd team of FC Schalke 04 , which also competes in the Regionalliga West. In October 2011 Wassey signed a contract with FC Eintracht Rheine from the sixth-class Westfalenliga . He made his debut against Hammer SpVg in the 1: 3 home defeat, in the 69th minute the newcomer flew off with yellow and red.

After only three months in Rheine, Wassey moved to the regional league team SV Waldhof Mannheim during the winter break of 2011/12 . After his contract in Mannheim expired, he was initially without a club before signing with SC Wiedenbrück on August 29, 2013 . For the 2016/17 season , Wassey moved to league competitor Borussia Dortmund II . He has been playing for third division club SC Paderborn 07 since 2017 . With Paderborn he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season . In the 2018/19 season , the march into the Bundesliga followed , but Wassey was not used.
