Max Sudhues
Max Sudhues (* 1977 in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German light and installation artist . He lives and works in Berlin.
Career
Max Sudhues studied from 1999 to 2005 at the Art Academy in Münster with Paul Isenrath , Guillaume Bijl and Timm Ulrichs , who made him a master class student. From 2002 to 2003 Sudhues spent an exchange semester at the Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste - Städelschule in Thomas Bayrle's class . In 2006 he completed postgraduate studies at the Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten, Antwerp and Ghent in Belgium.
“The artist Max Sudhues develops his spatial stagings using analog and digital light projection, video installation or material collage. The starting point is simple materials, mostly everyday objects, which are rearranged, partly set in motion and, in the interplay of light and shadow, develop a surprising aesthetic and narrative potential. "
