Maximilian Krah
Maximilian Eugen Krah (born January 28, 1977 in Räckelwitz , Kamenz district ) is a German lawyer and politician of the alternative for Germany . He is deputy chairman of AfD Saxony and has been a member of the European Parliament since 2019 .
Family and education
Krah was born as the youngest of three children of an engineer and a special school teacher in Upper Lusatia , but grew up in Dresden . His father Peter Krah is a CDU member and after 1990 was a consultant in the Saxon Ministry of the Interior . In 1995 he passed the Abitur at the Dresden Kreuzgymnasium . After completing his military service, Krah studied law at the Technical University of Dresden from 1996 . He passed the two state law examinations in 2002 and 2004. Krah doctorate in 2011 with a comparative work to the company's purchase of Doctor iuris . From 2010 to 2012 he completed a postgraduate MBA course jointly sponsored by the London Business School and Columbia Business School ( New York ).
He is Catholic, widowed and has six children.
Lawyer
Krah was admitted to the bar in 2005 and runs his own law firm with colleagues in downtown Dresden.
Krah took on a number of politically sensitive cases. He represented the men who tied an Iraqi refugee to a tree in front of a department store in Arnsdorf, Saxony in 2016 . Another client of Krahs was Susanne Dagen , Dresden bookseller (Buchhaus Loschwitz) and councilor of the Free Voters , who sued against her exclusion from a workshop on “right-wing networks” in the Hygiene Museum . Furthermore, Krah represented the former LKA employee and Pegida supporter Maik G. , who became known as the “ hat citizen ”, in his proceedings against ZDF .
According to documents that are available to the news magazine Der Spiegel and which Krah confirmed to the magazine, Krah carried out multi-million dollar fortune transactions for the Pius Brotherhood for years . As part of an inheritance takeover, Krah set up a company in Liechtenstein , a private foundation in Vienna and a stock corporation in Switzerland for the purpose of tax avoidance. As Krah told the magazine, it was then about "finding an elegant and discreet way to manage the heritage in the spirit of the brotherhood". Also in the affair of the due sedition sentenced former bishop of the Brotherhood Richard Williamson , of the denied Holocaust had Krah was active as a lawyer.

CDU
After reunification, Krah joined the Junge Union in 1991 at the age of 14 and the Christian Democratic Union in 1996 . During his law studies he was chairman of the local RCDS and student representative on the student council and faculty council. In 1998 he was a student assistant at Christa Reichard, member of the CDU Bundestag, and held various party offices.
Krah resigned from the CDU in September 2016. He switched to a homepage to get other CDU members to do the same.
AfD
He joined the AfD in November 2016 and was elected deputy chairman of the AfD Saxony in February 2018.
In June 2019, he said at a party conference of the AfD Saxony: “We are shooting the way. There is only us - otherwise everything will go down the drain. "
In a video comment, Krah criticized Pope Francis and said that he had gone to Africa to "lick his boots" there. Furthermore, according to Krah, everything is preached in the churches today, only "not about eternity, not about God and not about Jesus Christ".
Krah publishes on the AfD-affiliated Internet portal Deutschland-Kurier under the title Hier kräht der Krah .
Member of the European Parliament
In November 2018, Krah was placed in third place on the list for the 2019 European elections by the AfD's European election assembly in Magdeburg and in May 2019 he was elected as a member of the European Parliament for the alternative for Germany . There Krah is a member of the Identity and Democracy (ID) group, a member of the Committee on International Trade (INTA) and a delegate for relations with the United States. He is the deputy chairman of the AfD delegation in the European Parliament.
Krah has been employing Guillaume Pradoura since 2019, who has a long history in the right-wing extremist scene in France and who founded a group of the Identity Movement in Marseille in 2007 . Before being employed by Krah, Pradoura had been dismissed from the French Rassemblement National and expelled from the party. The trigger was a photo of Pradoura disguised as a caricature of an Orthodox Jew . His pose resembled anti-Semitic depictions from the Nazi era . "The picture is not pretty, but I can't see any wrongdoing in it," said Krah of the taz , on Twitter he described his employee's disguise as a "carnival gag".
