Maximilian Schmiedl (born July 25, 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian musician, actor and cabaret artist .

Life

After completing the drama school of the Vienna Volkstheater, Maximilian Schmiedl moved to Germany, where he initially worked at the State Theater in Osnabrück and four years later at the State Theater in Karlsruhe . The then director of the Salzburg State Theater engaged Schmiedl at his house in 2000 after seeing him as Ferdinand in Schiller's Cabal and Love . Schmiedl then played this role again in Salzburg. Also in 2000 Schmiedl took part in the Austrian reality soap Taxi Orange ( similar to Big Brother ), in which he also won and, as announced, donated his winnings of one million schillings .

After Schmiedl had already played and sang his own songs on the guitar in Taxi Orange , he began a musical career after the show. With his album 1–13 he made it to number 2 in the Ö3 Austria Top 40 and was awarded the gold record for 25,000 records sold. Three years later, the comedy show began really bold on ORF one , where he played until 2004. He then switched to ATV + as the presenter of the show Volltreffer until he was replaced by Volker Piesczek . He continued to work in the background of the program until 2006. In the same year he was supposed to go back to being really fat , which he didn't.

He also took part on June 13, 2003 in the ORF 2 cooking series Freshly cooked is half won . From April to June 2007 he could be seen in the Austrian daily soap Mitten im 8en . He also plays a police investigator in the four-part television thriller Zodiak - The Horoscope Killer alongside Alexandra Neldel , Friedrich von Thun and others. In 2007 he was a participant in the ORF1 program 13 .

Max Schmiedl also played in the ORF program Das Match (2008). Furthermore Schmiedl had a brief guest appearance as a taxi driver in the ORF series Dolce Vita & Co . From 2011 he moderated the quiz show Quiz Taxi Austria , which was 163% above the broadcaster average in the first season. Puls 4 then decided on an extension, which will be filmed in Vienna, Innsbruck, Linz and Klagenfurt from April 2012.

Schmiedl was nominated for Romy 2012 in the category "Most Popular Moderator Entertainment".

Since 2012 Schmiedl is his first solo cabaret program from the start, to Austria tour, in 2013, he was thus in the ORF under the Hyundai Cabaret Days to see.
