The Mercury Park Lane was a full size model (upper middle class) from the American car manufacturer Mercury , which is part of the Ford group. It was built between 1957 and 1960 and from 1963 to 1968.
Model history
In the model years 1958 to 1960, the Park Lane was the top Mercury model, ranking above Monterey and Montclair . It was available as a hardtop sedan and coupé, as well as a convertible. A seven-liter V8 engine served as the drive.
In the course of the reorganization of the model range in 1961, the name Park Lane was dropped, but was reintroduced in 1964. Until 1967 the series was again the top model of the brand, before the Mercury Brougham (only 1967) and the Marquis were positioned above it . The series again included coupes, sedans and convertibles. A special feature was the Park Lane Breezeway four-door with a modified C-pillar and electrically retractable rear window, which was offered from 1965 to 1967. On the engine side, only V8 machines with a displacement of 6.4 to 7.0 liters were used (253-431 SAE-PS / 186-317 kW).
From the model year 1969 the Park Lane was no longer produced, the new top model was now the Marquis.
