Merlin Properties is a listed Spanish Socimi (Spanish version of a REIT ) and part of the Spanish IBEX 35 index. The real estate manager was founded in 2014 by the two former Deutsche Bank employees Ismael Clemente and Miguel Ollero under the name Magic Real Estate . Merlin Properties' assets are limited to commercial properties such as offices, retail spaces and hotels. With the Torre PwC , Merlin belongs to the third tallest building in Spain. In 2016, the commercial properties of the property manager Metrovacesa were transferred to Merlin in a large transaction . At the same time, the company Testa Residencial, a subsidiary of Merlin at the time, was merged with its residential properties on the rest of the Metrovacesa.
