history
The company was created through the merger of companies that z. Some had already started operations in 1921. This included u. a. Experiencias Industriales SA Indra, founded in 1925, was founded in 1993 and has been listed in the Spanish financial index IBEX 35 since July 1, 1999 . The company was also included in international stock indices such as the FTSE eTX, Dow Jones Global Index and MSCI . Indra shares have been listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSWI) and Dow Jones STOXX Sustainability Index (DJSI STOXX) since 2006.
In 2011, incoming orders totaled 2,688 million euros . In its sector, it is the second largest company in Europe in terms of market value. The company generates a third of its sales on the international market. The company employs around 30,000 people and serves customers in around 100 countries.
The main shareholders with a stake of over 3% are: Caja Madrid with 20%, Corporación Financiera Alba with 10%, Casa Grande de Cartagena with 5.68% and Cajastur with 5%.
