Michael Dan Archer (* 1955 ) is a British sculptor.

life and work

After graduating with a BA in Fine Art , Archer taught in Japan, Great Britain and Spain from 1979 to 1984. From 1989 to 2002 he was a lecturer in sculpture at the Loughborough University School of Art & Design in Loughborough . Since 1981 he has participated in group exhibitions and has shown his work in solo exhibitions and has participated in sculpture symposia since 1990 . In 1994 he became a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors (RBBS).

Archer created abstract works of art in natural stone , brick , metal and with neon lights.

At sculpture symposia Archer u. a. in part: Durbacher International Sculpture Symposium in Durbach (1999), Bildhauersymposion Oggelshausen in Oggelshausen (2000), Bildhauersymposion Hořice in Hořice (2004), EMAAR International Sculpture Symposium in Dubai (2004), Dikili International Granite Sculpture Symposium in Turkey (2006), Lana Sculpture symposium in Bolzano in South Tyrol (2007), Sculpture symposium Barossa in Australia (2008) and others in Japan and South Korea .
