Michael Leopold Thomas Ehrenberger (born July 27, 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian general practitioner and alternative doctor (Dr. med. Univ.). His grandfather was Hofrat Leopold Ehrenberger, one of the founders of the Austrian social insurance institute for farmers , his father Leopold Ehrenberger was in-house counsel at the Federal Chamber of Commerce . Ehrenberger is the father of five children.

Life

After studying medicine at the University of Vienna , he received his doctorate in medicine (Dr. med. Univ.) In 1983 and then completed his training as a general practitioner from 1983 to 1987. He performed the required regular service in the Krems and Lainz / Vienna hospitals . From 1987 to 1992 he worked in the Lainz Hospital / Vienna at the Institute for Physical Medicine and as a hospital doctor .

Afterwards, as a general practitioner with a holistic approach, he ran two practices in Perchtoldsdorf and Loipersdorf . He also worked as a sports doctor at the Südstadt sports center and as a seminar leader for therapeutic fasting and exercise seminars, which he conducted together with Baldur Preiml (Austrian ski jumper and trainer) at the Loipersdorf thermal baths . In 2004 he resigned from the Austrian Medical Association .

Create

In 1993 he founded the company Synthesis GmbH Society for Holistic Medicine, which is dedicated to holistic medical approaches and water research. From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a consultant for Ökopharm in the research and development department. During this activity, the management of a research project led him to Novosibirsk at the Russian Academy of Sciences . As part of his research, he worked with various research institutes, including the Chemical-Technical Dmitri Mendeleev University of Russia , the Atomic Institute at the Vienna University of Technology, the Johanneum Research Weiz and the Department of Plant Physiology at the University of Salzburg.

While working for Ökopharm in 2002, Ehrenberger was involved in the development of a process for reducing the surface area of silicon dioxide , which was patented on May 24, 2005 . A cooperation with Christiaan Barnard for the development of a heart protection preparation (TerraSyn Formula 50) as well as conceptual collaboration on the book "50 Ways to a Healthy Heart" by Christiaan Barnard were also part of his work.

In 2000 Ehrenberger was a founding member and vice-president of the Austrian Democratic Republic of the Congo Society, a working group that is supposed to maintain bilateral relations between the Republic of Austria and the Democratic Republic of the Congo . From 2000 to 2003 he was head of the European Institute for Environmental Medicine in St. Pölten .

In 2007, Ehrenberger launched its own online TV channel, TV-Gesund, which focused on health and naturopathy. Well-known personalities were honored with their topics, e.g. B. Hademar Bankhofer , Herbert Klima, Espérance-François Bulayumi or Adolf Wiebecke. The TV-Gesund channel was actively operated until 2014.

In 2010, Ehrenberger was interviewed by Hademar Bankhofer on the subject of " Ideal Water ". Since 2011 he has been the medical director of the natural medicine working group at the Stegersbach Academy, a regional knowledge forum. In 2013 the article “Evolution through Cooperation - New Ways of Healing” was published, in which Michael Vogt Ehrenberger interviewed errors in school science and the healing power of nature. In autumn 2012 at Ehrenberger in Mogersdorf-Bergen, under the guidance of Peter Steffen ( Sepp Holzer's companion for three years ), a permaculture exhibition system was created from a large meadow . The exhibition facility was opened on July 13, 2013 and has been open to visitors regularly since then. For two years, this project has been supplemented by our own beekeeping, whereby care is taken to keep the bees according to their essence and to return them to their original size. Ehrenberger is a partner and sponsor of the bee protection garden project .

In 2015, Ehrenberger's association “natur heilt” declared June 21st to be the “day of medicinal plants ”, the day of the summer solstice . B. St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum ), an important medicinal plant, is preferably collected. Since then, the day has been celebrated in southern Burgenland with guests such as Roland Düringer , Sepp Holzer , Miriam Wiegele , Hademar Bankhofer , Karoline Jezik and Sabina Topolovec and Waterloo (Hansi Kreuzmayr) known from the duo Waterloo & Robinson.

In 2016, Ehrenberger founded the non-profit association "natur heilt", based in Mogersdorf, with the aim of preserving and disseminating knowledge about natural medicine.

Ehrenberger's company was the first company in the Güssing and Jennersdorf districts to hire a member of the “Vamos - Association for Integration”.

In 2017, Ehrenberger received a penal order for a statement on his website on the subject of wild yam root , which provoked numerous reactions on the Internet. The word "therapeutic" in connection with the mention of the use of wild yams by the Aztecs is not permitted as a health claim due to EU regulation No. 1924/2006 , explained the Agency for Health and Nutrition (AGES). The Jennersdorf district administration then sent an invoice for an administrative penalty of 70 euros and an analysis cost of 165.90 euros.

In the 2017 Austrian National Council election, Ehrenberger was a candidate for the Roland Düringer (GILT) list with position 40 and position 1 on the Burgenland state list. In the preliminary phase of the National Council election, Ehrenberger sent all 183 members of the Austrian National Council a book with the title "67 Ways of Hope" by Edgar Morin and Stephane Hessel , and asked for a reaction or reply from the members.

Awards

The company Dr. Ehrenberger Synthesis was recognized as a family-friendly company by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce in 2018 ; it is also a partner of the “Companies for Families” network. As a result of the award ceremony, Family Minister Juliane Bogner-Strauss visited the company on April 23, 2018 at its headquarters in Mogersdorf, Burgenland

In 2016, Ehrenberger's company was nominated for the Austrian State Prize for Environmental and Energy Technology DAPHNE and was awarded a DAPHNE Excellent Project. The company uses bio- based containers made of " bio-plastic " instead of petroleum-based plastic cans for the packaging of the products .

Television broadcast

The television reality show “ Medical Officer Dr. med. Michael Ehrenberger ”was broadcast five times a week from Monday to Friday by the Austrian private broadcaster ATV + between 2003 and 2004, with Ehrenberger playing the leading role as a television doctor.
