Michael Hauschild

Michael Hauschild is a Brigadier General of the Army of the German Armed Forces and the Head of Information Technology (I) in the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the German Armed Forces (BAAINBw) in Koblenz .

Military career

Training and first uses

Hauschild joined the German Armed Forces in 1980 with the telecommunications battalion 971 in Mayen , and completed basic training and training as an officer in the telecommunications force there and with the telecommunications battalion 960 . From 1982 to 1986 he studied aerospace engineering at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich , and graduated studies as a graduate engineer from. From 1987 to 1990 he was used as a platoon leader in a telecommunications company in Telecommunications Battalion 910 in Rheinbach . This was followed by a deployment as a company commander in the same unit. Service as a staff officer

After completing the general staff training, Hauschild was employed in the Office for Telecommunication and Information Systems of the Bundeswehr in Rheinbach from 1996 to 1998 . From 1998 to 1999 he took part in a master’s course at the Royal Military College of Science (RMCS) in Shrivenham ( Great Britain ). He completed this as a Master of Science in Defense Technology . From 1999 to 2001 Hauschild served as commander of the 210 telecommunications regiment in Ulm in a troop deployment. He was then transferred to the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn , where he was deputy head of division Fü H III 5 (basic matters of command support in the army) in the command staff of the army from 2001 to 2004 . This was followed from 2004 to 2006 by an international staff assignment as Deputy Head of J3 Plans in the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum) of NATO in Brunssum ( Netherlands ). From 2006 to 2008 Hauschild was deployed in the Operative Leadership Command in Ulm as Staff Officer J3 Ongoing Operations . From 2008 to 2009 he was reassigned to the office as sub-department head A3 in the Federal Office for Information Management and Information Technology of the Bundeswehr in Koblenz. From 2009 to 2012 Hauschild was in the same office, this time based in Bonn, head of the SASPF implementation organization . This was followed by assignments as head of division in the Federal Ministry of Defense: 2012 to 2016 as head of division AIN IV 1 (principle of use) and from 2016 to 2018 as division head AIN IV 5, later reclassified to division CIT II 5 (process-oriented IT support, SASPF and IT Process design) .

Service as a general

Since March 16, 2018, Hauschild has held his current position as Head of Information Technology (I) at the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Use of the Bundeswehr (BAAINBw) in Koblenz. On this post he was also promoted to brigadier general.
