Michael Hester

Michael Hester (born May 2, 1972 ) is a New Zealand football referee .

He has been directing games in the New Zealand Football League since the 2004/05 season and has been a FIFA referee since 2007 . Hester has so far participated as a referee in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and directed several games as part of the Oceania qualification for the 2010 World Cup . He was nominated for the Confederations Cup in 2009 and came at the 2010 World Cup finals for a use in the preliminary round.

Hester lives in Auckland , where he works full-time as a naval officer.
