Michael Steinbrecher (born July 11, 1887 in Munich ; † 1976 ) was a German architect . He is one of the most important southern Bavarian architects in sacred architecture in the 1930s and the post-war period , in which he was also involved in the reconstruction of Munich churches. His estate is in the Architecture Museum of the Technical University of Munich .

1935–1936: Housing construction by Aluminum AG Burgerfeld in Wasserburg am Inn

1937–1938: Heimathaus in Wasserburg am Inn

1938–1939: Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul in Grünwald

1938: Expansion of the Catholic parish church St. Wendelin in Weitnau

1951–1953: Reconstruction of the Mariahilfkirche in der Au in Munich

1955–1956: St. Elisabeth parish church in Munich-Haidhausen (demolished around 1990 due to construction defects , the tower remains, smaller new building by Herbert Groethuysen )

1957–1958: Parish Church of St. Michael in Schalding on the right of the Danube

1957–1958: Parish Church of Maria Königin in Grünwald

1958–1967: Redesign of the Maria Eich pilgrimage church in Planegg

1961–1963: Extension of the parish church St. Martin in Unterwössen

1964–1966: Reconstruction of the parish church of St. Wolfgang in Munich-Haidhausen

1966: Redesign of the interior of the parish church St. Anton , Munich- Isarvorstadt
