Michele Cecchini

Michele Cecchini (born March 3, 1920 in Lammari , Province of Lucca , Italy , † April 26, 1989 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican diplomat .

Life

Michele Cecchini received on 2 July 1944, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 26, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular Archbishop of Aquileia and ordered him to Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Madagascar . He was also appointed Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Mauritius on March 1, 1969 . The Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cardinal Cicognani donated him episcopal ordination on April 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Lucca , Enrico Bartoletti , and the secretary of the Congregation for the Extraordinary Tasks of the Church, Curia Archbishop Agostino Casaroli .

On June 18, 1976, Pope Paul VI appointed him . to the Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Yugoslavia .

He was an honorary member of the Catholic student association KaV Danubia Vienna-Korneuburg in the ÖCV
