Miguel Capuccini (born January 5, 1904 , † June 9, 1980 ) was a Uruguayan football player .

Club career

At club level, he first played for the Wanderers . From 1928 to 1934 he was then in the squad of Club Atlético Peñarol . In 1928, 1929 and 1932 his club won the Uruguayan championship. The Aurinegros also secured the Copa Aldao of 1928 .

National team

The goalkeeper was a member of the Uruguayan national football team , for which he completed a total of six international matches between July 14, 1927 and December 10 of the same year, in which he had to accept six goals. Capuccini took part in both the Campeonato Sudamericano 1927 , in which Uruguay took second place, as well as the first World Cup in 1930 for Celeste, which ended with the title . In the course of the World Cup tournament, however, he was not used.
