Mike Crossey

Mike Crossey (* 1979 in Belfast ) is a British music producer. Among other things, he produced the debut single for the Arctic Monkeys and their first two albums . He also produced bands such as Foals , Keane and The Kooks, among others .

Career

Crossey studied at the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and began his career at the Liverpool Motor Museum Studio. There he worked with the singer and bassist of the band Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark , Andy McCluskey . In recent years he has produced other albums for the bands Foals, Keane, Jake Bugg , Tribes, Blood Red Shoes , The Enemy , The Kooks, Razorlight and The 1975 . In 2012 he moved to London and mixed there with Ben Howard whose album every kingdom and the second album by Two Door Cinema Club , Beacon . He also worked with the Nottingham native Jake Bugg, mixed and produced his debut album Jake Bugg . This was released on October 15, 2012 and was at the top of the British album charts from October 21 to 27 . In September 2013 the album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize . It was rated 9/10 by NME . Metacritic rated the album 81/100. Also in 2012 he produced the album Cheeky for a Reason for The View, which made it into the Top Ten Album Charts. The also very successful album ANNA by The Courteeners entered the charts at number 2.
