Edwards drove very successfully in the national British competitions around the British Superbike Championship where he won four titles. Internationally, he appeared in endurance races, such as the Daytona 200 , and racing series such as the Speed Triple Cup , the Macau Grand Prix , which he won in 1995, or the Sound Of Singles ( single cylinder ). As the first Briton since Paul Smart in 1972, he and his teammate Jason Pridmore won the endurance race in Imola . Edwards is considered one of the pioneers of the Supermono racing series and has been running a racing school in his home town since he retired from active racing in 2004 and has taken part in classic car races.
