Mike Edwards (born February 1962 in Harrogate , North Yorkshire ) is a retired British motorcycle racer .

Career

Edwards drove very successfully in the national British competitions around the British Superbike Championship where he won four titles. Internationally, he appeared in endurance races, such as the Daytona 200 , and racing series such as the Speed ​​Triple Cup , the Macau Grand Prix , which he won in 1995, or the Sound Of Singles ( single cylinder ). As the first Briton since Paul Smart in 1972, he and his teammate Jason Pridmore won the endurance race in Imola . Edwards is considered one of the pioneers of the Supermono racing series and has been running a racing school in his home town since he retired from active racing in 2004 and has taken part in classic car races.
