Michael A. Green (born October 23, 1979 in Victoria , British Columbia ) is a former Canadian ice hockey striker who last played in the German Ice Hockey League for the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg .

Career

The 1.80 m tall center began his professional career in the Canadian Junior League WHL , where he was on the ice for the Kootenay Ice and its predecessor, the Edmonton Ice . After some engagements in various minor leagues , the right-shooter moved to the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League in 2002 , where he was first used in the 2003/04 season . Green was finally transferred from the New York Rangers to the Nürnberg Ice Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League in 2004 , and in the following season he laced up his skates for the league competitor Hannover Scorpions . Once again Green returned to North America to play for the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League , but after a season he rejoined the Scorpions. For the 2008/09 season Green signed a contract with local rivals Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg . In November 2010 he decided to end his career due to injury problems.
