The Ministry of Justice is one of eight ministries of the Saarland state administration. Peter Strobel ( CDU ) has been the minister since March 1, 2018 . State Secretary is Roland Theis . The ministry is based in Saarbrücken .

history

There were no ministries in the Saarland administrative commission, which was in office from 1946 to 1947 . Erwin Müller was the director of justice . In 1947 the Ministry of Justice was established.

Responsibilities of the Ministry

In its departments and units, the ministry deals with constitutional and constitutional law , administrative law , European and international law, civil and criminal law as well as the execution of justice and measures . The state examination office for lawyers is also affiliated with the ministry. The ministry also oversees the public prosecutor's offices in Saarland.
