Misa Eguchi ( Japanese 江口 実 沙 , Eguchi Misa ; born April 18, 1992 in Ogōri ) is a Japanese tennis player .

Career

Eguchi started playing tennis at the age of eight, her preferred surface is the hard court. So far she has won six singles and seven doubles titles at ITF Women's Circuit tournaments . She achieved her best placement in the individual world rankings in September 2016 with 109th place.

In 2014, Eguchi won her first $ 50,000 tournament in Australian when she beat Jelisaveta Kulitschkowa in the final at McDonald's Burnie International . Six months later she achieved her best result so far in a WTA tournament when she failed to qualify at the Baku Cup in the quarterfinals to Bojana Jovanovski . At the US Open in the same year, she narrowly failed to qualify for the first time in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament .

Eguchi played her last professional tournament in September 2018 and has not been in the world rankings since the end of July 2019.
