The crisis in the Spanish shipping industry does not stop at the shipyard in Vigo . Five unemployed friends meet in a bar to find a way out of their misery: Santa, the loudmouth, who is also supposed to pay a fine for damage; Lino desperately scanning the city's human resources offices; José, the youngest, whose wife Ana makes a living; Amador, who is always in his colleague Rico's bar. A Russian ex-cosmonaut also ended up in the city. They all struggle with their everyday worries such as dealing with authorities, a decline in self-esteem and debt. And despite all the problems and dramas, they manage their lives with humor and mutual help.

The lexicon of international films described the film as a “[g] successful mixture of tragic and comic moments, which is understood as a sarcastic description of the state of Spanish society” and praised “its laconic situational comedy and the humanity of its protagonists, their self-discovery on the edge of the affluent society one takes note with a wink ”.
Awards
The film received numerous awards. Among other things, he won five Goyas at the 2003 Spanish Film Festival (including best film, best director and best actor) and four prizes at the 2002 San Sebastian Film Festival .
