The Morsbach is a right tributary of the Urft on the district of Schleiden in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The Morsbach rises northwest of the eponymous district at about 490 m and runs in a northerly direction. There it crosses the Morsbachtal nature reserve west of Morsbach and runs in a north-north-east direction through a forest area and finally flows into the Urftstausee .
Catchment area
The 2.06 km² catchment area of the Morsbach lies in the North Eifel and is drained into the North Sea via Urft, Rur , Maas and Hollands Diep .
It borders
- in the southeast to that of the Urft tributary Laßbach
- in the south to that of the olefin tributary Höddelbach
- in the southwest to that of the Helingsbach , which is a tributary of the Sauerbach , and then that of the Sauerbach itself, which drains into the Rur via the Erkensruhr
- and in the west to that of the stream from Walberhof, which flows into the reservoir north of the Morsbach.
Its valley is mostly forested from the middle reaches, otherwise agricultural areas dominate. In the southeast of the catchment area of the Morsbach lies the southwestern part of the village of the same name.
