The Town of Moscow is located in southwest Wisconsin and is traversed by the Pecatonica River , a tributary of the Rock River that flows into the Mississippi . The intersection of the three states of Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, located on the Mississippi, is around 180 km to the northwest; to Illinois it is around 45 km south.
The geographical coordinates of the center of the Town of Moscow are 42 ° 52'06 "north latitude and 89 ° 54'08" west longitude. It extends over an area of 107.1 km². The Town of Moscow completely encloses the Village of Hollandale without it belonging to the Town.

Wisconsin State Highway 39 runs through the town in a west-east direction . Wisconsin State Highway 191 runs through the northwest and Wisconsin State Highway 78 runs through the southeast corner . In addition, the County Highways F and K run through the area of the Town of Moscow. All other roads are subordinate country roads and some unpaved roads.
With the Iowa County Airport there is a small airfield about 40 km to the west. The nearest commercial airports are Dubuque Regional Airport in Iowa (around 115 km west-southwest), Chicago Rockford International Airport (around 125 km southeast) and Dane County Regional Airport in Wisconsin's capital Madison (around 70 km northeast).
