history

The roots of Multiconnect go back to the liberalization of the telecommunications market in Germany . Its story begins in May 1999 with the establishment of extr @ com AG in Munich. As early as mid-2000 it had its own fixed network infrastructure and an interconnection with Deutsche Telekom . As a connection network operator from the very beginning, extr @ com concentrated on value-added services, preselection and call-by-call (“ prompt ” brand ). At the end of 2003, she filed for bankruptcy . The call center operator SNT Deutschland AG bought extr @ acom assets as part of an asset deal and founded the subsidiary SNT Multiconnect GmbH & Co. KG ("SNT Multiconnect") to continue business operations in 2004 .

In June 2010, Multiconnect was founded as a subsidiary of the mobile network operator E-Plus , based in Düsseldorf . She took over SNT Multiconnect by way of universal legal succession, Thorsten Dirks was one of the founding managing directors, and business operations in Munich continued. In this way, Multiconnect became the fixed network operator of E-Plus and provided telecommunications services for them until 2017; In particular, since September 2011 Multiconnect has been operating the landline numbers for the E-Plus Fixed Line product for mobile phones , the virtual landline numbers for E-Plus mobile phone contracts with a nationwide home zone .

In 2013, Multiconnect moved its headquarters from Düsseldorf to Munich. The Multiconnect has its own technology platform as well as a nationwide, redundant telecommunications infrastructure capable of mass loading .
