The Municipio Arque is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
location
The municipality of Arque is one of two municipalities in the province of Arque . It is bordered to the west by the municipality of Tacopaya , to the southwest by the province of Bolívar , to the south by the Potosí department , to the east by the province of Capinota , to the north-east by the province of Quillacollo , and to the north by the province of Tapacarí .
The central place and largest settlement of the municipality is Arque with 308 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the central part of the district.
geography
The Municipio Arque is located in one of the northern foothills of the Bolivian Cordillera Central . The climate is semi-arid and a typical daytime climate , in which the temperature differences between day and night are more pronounced than between the seasons.
Arque has an average annual precipitation of 600 mm and an annual average temperature of almost 11 ° C (see climate diagram). The dry season lasts from May to September and has lower temperatures, but is frost-free. The rainy season lasts from December to February and is warmer than the annual average.
