The Municipio Buena Vista is a district in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Buena Vista is one of four Municipios of the Ichilo Province and includes the southern areas of the province. It borders the Municipio Yapacaní and the Municipio San Carlos to the north, the Manuel María Caballero Province to the northwest, the Florida Province to the southwest and south, the Andrés Ibáñez Province to the east , and the Sara Province to the northeast .
The municipality extends between about 17 ° 21 'and 18 ° 02' south latitude and 63 ° 28 'and 64 ° 14' west longitude, its extension from west to east is up to 70 kilometers and from north to south also up to 70 kilometers Kilometre.
The municipality comprises 59 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the city of Buena Vista with 4,405 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northern part of the district.

The municipality of Buena Vista is located on the western edge of the Bolivian lowlands in front of the Cordillera Oriental and includes both parts of the Voranden chains and parts of the lowlands. The climate is subtropical and humid all year round .
