The Municipio Roboré is a district in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Roboré is one of three Municipios of the Province of Chiquitos and includes its southeastern area. It borders on the municipality of San José de Chiquitos to the northwest, the Cordillera province to the south, the Germán Busch province to the east , and the Ángel Sandoval province to the northeast .

The municipality extends between about 17 ° 30 'and 18 ° 48' south latitude and 58 ° 50 'and 60 ° 15' west longitude; its extension from west to east is up to 150 kilometers, from north to south up to 135 kilometers.

The municipality comprises 34 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the town of Roboré with 10,098 inhabitants (2012 census) in the southwestern part of the district, the only other notable settlement is Santiago de Chiquitos with 1,927 inhabitants.

The Municipio Roboré is located southeast of the Chiquitos hill country in eastern Bolivia. The climate is semi-humid, the average humidity is around 70 percent.
