The Municipio Santa Cruz is a district in the Department of Santa Cruz in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The Municipio Santa Cruz is one of five Municipios in the Andrés Ibáñez Province . It borders the province of Ignacio Warnes to the north, the province of Sara to the northwest , the municipality of Porongo to the west, the municipality of La Guardia to the southwest , the province of Cordillera to the south , and the municipality of Cotoca and the province to the west Chiquitos . The central place is Santa Cruz in the western part of the district with 1,441,406 inhabitants ( 2012 census ).
