The municipality of Villa Nueva is a district in the Pando department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Villa Nueva is one of three municipalities in the province of Federico Román and includes its southern area. It is bordered to the west by the municipality of Ingavi in the province of Abuná , to the south by the municipality of San Pedro in the province of Manuripi , to the east by the department of Beni , to the northeast by the municipality of Nueva Esperanza , and to the north by the municipality of Santos Mercado .
The municipality extends between about 10 ° 30 'and 10 ° 51' south latitude and 65 ° 34 'and 66 ° 29' west longitude, its expansion from west to east is up to 100 kilometers, from north to south up to 35 kilometers .
The municipality comprises 29 municipalities ( localidades ), the central place of the municipality is the village of Loma Alta with 646 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) on the southern edge of the district.

The municipality of Villa Nueva is located in the Bolivian part of the Amazon basin in the northeast corner of the country near the border with Brazil.
The mean average temperature of the region is 26 ° C and fluctuates only slightly between 25 ° C in May and 27 to 28 ° C from December to February (see Riberalta climate diagram). The annual precipitation is about 1,300 mm, with a pronounced dry season from June to August with monthly precipitation below 20 mm, and a humidity period from December to January with monthly precipitation of more than 200 mm.
