NGC 6802 is a galactic open star cluster in the constellation Fox . It has an angular extension of 5 'and an apparent magnitude of 8.8 mag. Its appearance is described, for example, with the Trumpler type III1m.

NGC 6802 was discovered by William Herschel on July 11, 1784 .
