NGC 6786 is a barred spiral galaxy of Hubble type SBBC in the constellation Dragon at the northern sky , an estimated 344 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center. Together with UGC 11415, it forms an interacting pair of galaxies.
The object was discovered on October 3, 1886 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
