NGC 6884 = NGC 6766 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Swan . The nebula was discovered on May 8, 1883 by the American astronomer Edward Charles Pickering . The Scottish astronomer Ralph Copeland also observed it on September 20, 1884. This led to the fact that there is a second entry in NGC for this nebula with NGC 6766 .
