NGC 6900 is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation of eagles in the northern sky . It is an estimated 233 million light years from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on October 1st, 1863 .
