NGC 6925 = (IC 5015?) Is a spiral galaxy with extensive star formation areas of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Microscope in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 127 million light years from the Milky Way and about 165,000 light years across .
The type IIb supernova SN 2011ei was observed here.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on July 31, 1834 .
