NGC 6789 is an irregular dwarf galaxy from the Hubble type in the constellation Draco the northern sky , the 3 million light years from an estimated Milky Way is removed.
The object was discovered on August 30, 1883 by Lewis A. Swift with his 16-inch telescope and later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
