NGC 6810 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Peacock on southern sky . It is estimated to be 88 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 30,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky is the galaxy IC 4884 .
The object was discovered on July 10, 1834 by John Herschel with his 18.7-inch reflector telescope and later included in his New General Catalog by Johan Dreyer .
