The NSU 10/30 PS was a mid-range car that Neckarsulmer Fahrzeugwerke Aktiengesellschaft built between 1911 and 1916. It was the successor to the 10/22 PS .

description

As with its predecessor, the water-cooled engine was a four-cylinder block engine with a displacement of 2608 cm³ (bore × stroke = 85 × 115 mm), but which now produced 30 hp (22 kW) at 1600 rpm. This engine had a triple bearing crankshaft, double magneto ignition , pressure circulation lubrication and standing valves in a T-cylinder head. The 65 liter fuel tank was in the back. The fuel was conveyed through the exhaust gases, with part of the exhaust gases being led into the tightly closed tank, creating a slight overpressure there and thus ensuring that the fuel flowed forward to the carburetor. The engine power was transmitted to the rear wheels via a multi-disc clutch in an oil bath, a four-speed gearbox with a link shift on the right and a cardan shaft . The wheelbase of the cars had grown by 70 mm to 3100 mm, their track width by 75 mm to 1375 mm and the weight of the chassis to 1300 kg. The top speed was still around 75 km / h.

In 1913 the engine got an L-head instead of the T-head and the car got a radiator in the shape of a pointed arch. The model continued to be produced in this form until 1916 and then discontinued without a successor.
