biography

Nadine Fest comes from Arriach in Carinthia and starts for SC Gerlitzen. After some successes in junior races, including numerous Austrian student championship titles, the festival, supervised by ex-racer Helmut Mayer , made its European Cup debut in January 2016 in Zauchensee . In February it competed at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer . In the Super-G she won the gold medal, in combination and slalom she finished fourth, in giant slalom she was eighth. Because of these successes, she was included in the B-team of the ÖSV in the summer. In the following season she managed to establish herself in the European Cup. On January 27, she won her first race with the Super-G in Davos . Two more victories followed and the discipline rankings in Super-G and Combination followed . At the Junior World Championship in Åre , she led a four-fold Austrian victory in the Super-G and won the gold medal with a lead of over a second. On the following day she again won gold in the combination and again clearly prevailed with half a second ahead of the Slovenian Meta Hrovat .

On October 28, 2017, she made her World Cup debut in the giant slalom in Sölden . After a fall in the Super-G in Cortina , in which she tore an inner ligament in her knee, she had to cancel her participation in the Junior World Championships in Davos . On March 3, 2018, she won her first World Cup points with 24th place in the Super-G of Crans-Montana . A day later, as eleventh in the combination, she just missed the first top 10 result. During the 2018/19 World Cup season , she competed in 13 races, but was only able to classify in the points once. Two more top 30 results were added a year later, otherwise Fest concentrated on the 2019/20 European Cup : with seven wins and four second places, she won the overall standings and the discipline ratings in downhill, super-G and combined.
