mode

In regional leagues in the 13 regions of Namibia (from the 2014/15 season 14 regions) 12 to 16 (up to the 2012/2013 season always 12) clubs compete against each other. The leagues are designed so that each team within their region plays two games against each opponent. The games mostly take place in tournament mode on a few weekends in the largest locations in the respective region.

For the 2011/12 season it was decided that the regional leagues can be further subdivided, as this reduces travel costs and thus more teams can participate overall. The requirement is that no sub-league may have fewer than seven or more than 12 teams.

At the end of the season, the leaders of the table play off the promoted teams for the Namibia First Division .

The three-point rule customary in FIFA applies .
