The Kirindy-Mitea National Park is a national park in the Menabe region on the west coast of Madagascar . It lies between the Maharivo and Lampaolo rivers and about 90 km south of the next larger city, Morondava .
fauna
Eleven species of mammals live in the Kirindy-Mitea National Park, ten of which are endemic species. This includes the Berthe mouse lemur , which occurs exclusively in this area, as well as 47 species of birds, including 33 endemic and 23 endemic reptiles.
flora
185 species have been recorded in this protected area, including the baobab tree ( Adansonia grandidieri ), which can reach a height of 40 meters, Givotia madagascariensis and Albizzia greveana , whose wood is used in traditional shipbuilding, the Colvillera racemosa and Uncarina stellulifera .
