Vincent A. Taylor

Vincent Albert Taylor (*  6. December 1845 in Bedford , Ohio ; †  2. December 1922 ) was an American politician of the Republican Party . March 4, 1891 to March 3, 1893 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 20th  congressional district of the state of Ohio.

biography

Taylor was born in Bedford where he grew up and attended schools. During the Civil War he served on the northern side. After the war he returned to Bedford, where he took over his father's company, the Taylor Chair Company , a furniture manufacturer. He served in the Ohio Senate between 1888 and 1890 .

In the 1890 congressional elections , he was elected representative of the 20th electoral district of Ohio to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC. He represented his constituency there for one legislative period. In 1892 he was no longer nominated. From then on, Taylor worked for the company until his death. He died in his hometown in 1922, where he was buried. Taylor was married to Clara.
