Bill Johnson (politician)
William Leslie "Bill" Johnson (* 10. November 1954 in Roseboro , Sampson County , North Carolina ) is an American politician of the Republican Party . Since January 3, 2011, he is a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the sixth congressional district of the state of Ohio .
biography
Bill Johnson was born in Roseboro, North Carolina. In 1973 he joined the United States Air Force . During his military service he studied at Troy University until 1979 and at the Georgia Institute of Technology until 1984 . There he graduated with a master's degree . Until 1999 he served in the Air Force, most recently in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel .
In the 2010 elections to the US House of Representatives , Johnson was able to prevail against incumbent Charlie Wilson . As he was re-elected in all subsequent elections, including the one in 2016, he can continue to exercise his mandate today. His latest legislative term runs until January 3, 2019. He was initially a member of the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs , the United States House Committee on Natural Resources and the United States House Committee on Veterans' Affairs . He later sat on the Committee on Energy and Trade and the Committee on Science, Space and Technology , and a total of four sub-committees.
Bill Johnson is married to LeAnn and has four children. They live together in Poland .
