Earl T. Wagner

Earl Thomas Wagner (born April 27, 1908 in Cincinnati , Ohio , † March 6, 1990 there ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party . From 1949 to 1951 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the second  congressional district of the state of Ohio.

biography

Earl Thomas Wagner was born in Cincinnati in 1908. He attended Christian and secular schools there. In 1930 he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a law degree . In the same year he was admitted to the bar and practiced as a lawyer in Cincinnati. In 1933 and 1934 he was with the Home Owners' Loan Corporation . In 1937 and 1938 he was an advisor to the Ohio Attorney General . As a lawyer he was in the service of the City of Sharonville in 1938 and 1939 . He was a member of the Board of Education of Cincinnati from 1944 to 1947.

In the 1948 congressional elections , he moved into the US House of Representatives as a representative of Ohio's 2nd Congressional District. There he represented the 2nd district for one legislative period. In 1950, 1952 and 1954 he tried unsuccessfully to be re-elected to the House of Representatives. From then on he worked as a lawyer in Addyston again. Wagner also worked as a consultant for a bank. Wagner lived in Cincinnati until his death in 1990.
