David Raymond Paige (born  April 8, 1844 in Madison , Ohio , †  June 30, 1901 in New York City ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party . March 4, 1883 to March 3, 1885 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 20th  congressional district of the state of Ohio.

biography

Paige was born in Madison. There he attended public schools. In 1865 he graduated from Union College . He then worked as a businessman in Akron . Between 1875 and 1879 he worked for Summit County .

For the Democratic Party, Paige was elected to the US House of Representatives in the 20th electoral district of Ohio in 1882. In 1884 he was no longer re-elected. From then on he worked as a businessman again. Paige died in New York City in 1901. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville .

Paige was married to Ellen Lewis King between 1870 and 1877. She died in 1877. They both had two sons. In 1884 Paige married Eva Bell Leek.
