John F. Seiberling

John Frederick Seiberling (born September 8, 1918 in Akron , Ohio , † August 2, 2008 ibid) was an American politician ( Democrat ).

Seiberling studied at Harvard University in Cambridge . He then served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 and attended Columbia Law School in New York City after retiring from active service . He was inducted into the bar in 1950 and began practicing in New York City. From 1971 to 1987 he was a member of the House of Representatives for the 14th District of Ohio . He did not stand for re-election. His cousin Francis Seiberling was also an MP for Ohio.
